Reaching Out to the Community

On Feb 9, 2024, our MPP George Pirie held a press conference at Northern College  to announce the following:

TIMMINS – The Ontario government is investing $5,915,793 for new primary care
teams including $1,373,500 million for Timmins and Porcupine. This is part of Ontario’s
$110 million investment to connect up to 328,000 people to primary care teams,
bringing the province one step closer to connecting everyone in Ontario to primary care.

RTOERO’s Webmaster Coordinator, Don Polesky was there as a member of the Community Partners Advisory Board, for the Northern College East End Family Health Team, and representing RTOERO District 5, in its efforts to reach out to the community.

Healthcare leaders from the East End Family Health Team, the Chapleau Family Health Team, the Timmins Academic Family Health team and the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority.
